“I will always credit Amanda as the most knowledgeable and adaptable coach I had. What started as a friendship turned into a great coaching relationship and eventually into a prep coach. “In May 2018 I started my competition prep journey with Amanda from Recalibrated Bodies. This was my fourth competition but my first with Recalibrated Bodies. I had heard amazing things about them as coaches and had seen both Amanda and Daniel onstage as competitors here in Ireland and abroad.
Choosing to work with them was the best investment I could have made. As a prep client there is always a minefield of coaches to whom you are just a number or a notch on their Top 6 belt. “Starting with Recalibrated Bodies has literally changed my life! I had been training for years and had always been happy enough with my physical appearance and was eating well most of the time, however, I wanted to challenge myself to see what I could achieve if I put my mind to it and I knew from the offset that RB were my go to people!
The knowledge I have gained in such a short length of time has been incredible. I lost almost 10kg without ever eating a meal that I did not really enjoy. Never once did I eat bland chicken, rice and broccoli (I had a preconception that this would be necessary!!). My training sessions were always under an hour and I never once set foot in the gym twice a day.
Under Daniel’s guidance, I realised that no food was off limits once I learnt how to properly track my macros! Throughout my 20 weeks I attended hen parties, weddings and enjoyed several nights out. I realised that life did not need to stop for me to reach my goals- I just needed to be more prepared, accountable and practice some sort of discipline.
I now realise what I eat is totally in my control and have much more knowledge of how to eat towards my goals. I was never placed on ridiculously low calories- they were kept as high as possible at all times with absolutely no restriction or guilt associated with any food. Daniel answered the many questions I had throughout and was always at the end of the email. He was encouraging, understanding and genuinely interested!
I have learnt skills that I will use for life while also increasing my confidence in knowing that I can achieve anything I put my mind to. “At the start of 2018 I had been 100% sure in my mind that I wanted to compete. It’s always been a goal of mine to step on stage and see my best potential. I had met Daniel & Amanda in person prior to this and they were very down to earth and friendly. That’s one of the many reasons I decided to work with Daniel for prep in competition, and another is because of his experience and achievements in competing. I knew he was the right person for this as he always came in at his best.
Most of the year comes by and here I am with 2 competitions under my belt and placing in both competitions. Daniel helped me bring in the very best condition I could possibly reach in our given time frame. Not once did I feel he was harsh on the prep, I was never fully depleted or reached the point of feeling tortured whereas most people would go to insane measures to reach the condition I did. Slow and steady got me there and Daniel was the main reason for this.
Daniel was always there to answer any questions I had and especially closer to the competitions when I’d have a million questions. I will be continuing my next prep with Daniel once I reach the end of my off season as I know he will be able to guide me to my biggest goal which is earn a pro card.

“When I made the decision to do my first 6 week programme with
Recalibrated Bodies I was a regular at the gym but just felt that my training had become a little stale and needed a bit of guidance with my training and nutrition. I had done some research online but when
Recalibrated Bodies advertised their first 6 week challenge the decision to take part was a no brainer.
Since starting I have found that I have higher energy levels and have seen a dramatic change both physically and mentally. My physical change has really shocked me. I am definitely more confident and comfortable in my body and in my clothes (I no longer have to do the skinny jean dance!).
The training plan was so easy for me to follow as it was very similar to the type of activity that I was already doing and was catered for my needs and my schedule. I have seen a difference in my performance week on week in the gym and have definitely become stronger.
Initially the nutrition plan was a little hard to work out but with the support of Recalibrated Bodies it was no time before it became the norm for me. I am never hungry and don’t feel deprived of any food. I have not been 100% ‘good’ all of the time but that’s what’s great about the plan, its flexible.
I have found Amanda to be a huge support not only each week when I check in, but in any query or concern that I have raised throughout. Her positivity and encouragement has really given me a boost and the determination to get the best out of the programme. Herself and Daniel are always available for support and no question is too big or too small.
I would definitely recommend Recalibrated Bodies and when my plan finishes in three weeks’ time I will definitely be signing up for more.”

“Working with Recalibrated Bodies over the last couple of months has been an absolute breeze! I signed up for the 6-week nutrition and training program earlier this year and haven’t left since! I have a hectic work life with lots of unstructured days, desk lunches, late night food/ drinks & plenty of snacks. In 2016 work took over and working out or eating well just wasn’t a priority. I gave up on the gym, food prep & any attempt at balance and went up 2 dress sizes as a result. I decided at the start of the year to take some time out and focus on myself and part of this was signing up with Daniel & Amanda, it was the best decision I could have made!
The last couple of months have gone by so quickly and I honestly cannot believe the change in every aspect of my life. I’m much more confident in myself and have a much better relationship with food finally achieving the balance I struggled with it the past, I was always either on or off, there was never an in between.
I’m eating more now than I would have before, I just consistently make better choices. My mentality has shifted completely, I eat well most of the time but still fit in date nights, chocolate fixes & gin when I want to. Over the last couple of months, I’ve had family parties, holidays, birthdays and weddings and still progress week on week. Working with Daniel has giving me the knowledge to plan for these and fit them in and if I do go overboard I just draw a line in the sand and make my next meal a healthy one. There is no excessive cardio or the ‘it’s ruined now’ attitude I once had. Their consistency over perfection approach has been really liberating and I’m the most confident I’ve ever been as a result.
Physically I’m a different person with a body shape I never thought I would have, I don’t recognize how far I’ve come sometimes and feel like I’m constantly having to buy new clothes! The training program has been great and my confidence in the gym has grown. I actually look forward to going now, it just fits into my life now and has become the new norm.

I started working with Recalibrated Bodies almost 2 years ago now and they've guided me through a photo shoot prep, bodybuilding prep, off-season, a cutting phase and just a general nutrition and training guidance plan. I can honestly say I've never been in better hands. I've completed plans under the guidance of both Amanda and Daniel, depending on my goal, and they have each been so professional throughout. Their attention to detail is phenomenal and they are very consistent and informative in their feedback for the weekly check-ins. For once, I finally understood why certain changes were being made to my plans as they educated me every step of the way. The programs never involved spending endless hours in the gym - it was very time efficient but tough at the same time, which was ideal with my work.
Most importantly, the plans were ALWAYS tailored completely to MY individual goals. If I ever had a question I always knew I could send them an email and ask them and they always got back to me without fail. They take so much care for each of their clients and it has to be admired. You never feel like you are just 'another client' when working with RB, they really make you feel cherished and supported. I cannot recommend RB highly enough and I will be putting my trust in their hands for the next phase of my journey. Before I had started with Daniel/Recalibrated Bodies I had already been training in the gym for around 2 years. For ages my main goal in the gym was to get as strong as possible and for me that meant eating loads and lifting heavy, which for me was a terrible idea as I put on weight so easily. Around February I knew that I wanted to try getting in shape for the summer but also because I was sick of seeing myself in the mirror and was not happy at all. I was a little on edge at first whether to buy a program as I was very familiar with tracking calories and I have quite a bit of knowledge on training. I soon came to realise that working with Daniel was so much more than following specific calories and training well.
I absolutely loved checking-in with him each week as he was always honest, non-judgemental and extremely motivating and made me to want to do better week-in week-out. Reading his emails never failed to put me in a good mood. Daniel is incredibly professional and always gave me a piece of mind when in doubt as a result of his ability to change my diet and training around to ensure I kept seeing results. From when I first started to now my metabolism has increased drastically and am no longer afraid to enjoy a meal out with friends or family. After 24 weeks of working with him I’ve learned so much and feel capable of continuing my journey alone for now. I can’t thank Daniel enough for all he has done for me as he has completely changed how I feel about myself both physically and mentally. “I’ve been going to the gym and doing the whole “fitness” thing for over three years now, but I’ve always struggled when it came to losing fat and getting lean. I’ve previously found myself in some bad restrict-binge cycles and had problems when it came to my relationship with food; I could never stay properly consistent with my diet and training for more than a few weeks at a time before I’d fall off the wagon again.
Five months ago I started working with Daniel and the difference in both my physique and my mindset has changed so much. For the first time in my life I feel as if I genuinely look like someone who’s into fitness - I never thought I could have abs or really good visible muscular definition. I had resigned myself to the fact that I was just “naturally bigger” and that to ever get truly lean I’d need to absolutely kill myself on low calories and hours of cardio but I couldn’t have been more wrong! I’ve been eating plenty of calories that I don’t feel restricted and I enjoy all of my meals and the training plans have always been really enjoyable. In the time since I started dieting I’ve been on two holidays and still made great progress. “I first started working with Dan after I met himself and Amanda for pancakes in Dubai, having just left my previous coach due to a difference in opinion regarding tattoos and competing. I was at a bit of a loss about my next move. After a brief conversation with himself and hearing his views I was definitely keen to get involved with Recalibrated Bodies.
We first started off by putting together a plan of attack to get me back into shape for a summer trip to America and within 6 months I was the leanest I had ever been. After a brief break, I decided it was time to get the head back down and start a bulking phase followed by another cut to get me ready for a bodybuilding competition. Unlike many, my goal when signing up with Recalibrated Bodies were generally health and wellbeing related, with physique being secondary. I was in decent shape but was undereating and overtraining, doing excessive unnecessary cardio, while I knew what I was doing was not correct it was a cycle I couldn’t break.
On signing up with Recalibrated Bodies, Daniel bumped my calories up straight away and dropped my cardio. The results were amazing, I maintained my level of body fat, and put on size. Under Daniel’s incredible guidance and knowledge he improved my physique, even when that wasn’t my primary goal. Since signing up, my life has changed in so many ways, I feel better in every aspect, from energy levels to sex drive. All this while eating more, cutting out cardio, and going through the most socially busy period of my life. It has helped me enjoy my life more, and has improved my relationship with food, training and significant others! Signing up was the best decision I’ve made in recent memory.
A quick word on Daniel, his level of knowledge and expertise is truly incredible, every question (of which there were many!) got a thorough, comprehensive and prompt response. “I've been working with Daniel for about 5 months. 3 months ago when I decided to focus my training on Olympic weightlifting he was the first to hear about it! I knew my requirements for Olympic lifting were probably slightly different than they were as a 5 day per week CrossFit competitor.
Things were tipping along nicely until it came time to compete and I decided that I wanted to lift in a lower weight class. This is when I really saw the benefit of having someone with Daniel’s experience in my corner. He did his thing and taught me why all along the way. I feel like this was the vital thing for me; I was able to buy into it because I knew what it was - I wasn't just dictated numbers and told to follow them. Sure enough, the scale weight dropped like a hot potato and it felt like he'd worked some magic! I actually couldn't believe it.
